Marching on: Armed Forces Covenant

HomeTrust Care is delighted to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC), a national pledge to supporting members of the Armed Forces community, including veterans, reservists and their families.

It demonstrates our commitment to being an inclusive, socially responsible and values-led employer, and enables us to recognise and value the unique skills and experiences that members of the Armed Forces community bring – including discipline, leadership, adaptability and resilience, enriching both our workforce and the quality of care we deliver.

Transitioning from military to civilian life can present significant challenges. Many service personnel find that their qualifications and experience, though highly valuable, are not always easily recognised or translated into mainstream employment.

Yet many of the core attributes developed through military service are precisely those that underpin excellence in the health and social care sector.

The AFC is a measure of respect and compassion, and directly aligns with our Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) ethos, a model that puts people at the heart of our organisation.

Both the AFC and EOT reflect our values of empowerment and shared purpose, ensuring every member of staff feels respected, supported and valued. Together, these commitments form a powerful statement about who we are: a company that genuinely values its people and prioritises their wellbeing, growth and sense of belonging.
