Our Commitment

Compliance

All HomeTrust Care homes and services are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England.

The CQC ensures all health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care, and encourages care services to improve where necessary. The CQC monitors, inspect and regulates services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety, and publish their findings to help people choose the right care for themselves or their loved ones.

In addition, HomeTrust Care regularly monitors safeguarding procedures, and makes continuous improvement and audits. We also have a fully transparent complaints and compliments process.

HomeTrust Care is values-led and person-centred. We believe care homes are part of the fabric of their communities, and that our responsibility extends beyond providing care to residents. We support our staff, families and local communities, and strive to operate ethically, sustainably and transparently.

Our core principles include individual care plans, resident choice and independence, activities and wellbeing programmes, and family involvement in care decisions. These are reinforced by our safeguarding policies, staff training, infection prevention, medication safety, incident reporting and learning culture.

This is a vital part of our ethos, and is evidenced by our commitment to mental wellbeing, dementia-friendly environments, nutrition and dining, and cultural and spiritual support.

We strongly believe in feedback from residents, families and staff. Aided by our complaints and suggestions process, this ensures continuous improvement.

We regularly participate in family forums, community partnerships, school visits, local volunteering, charity partnerships and intergenerational projects. HomeTrust Care is also proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, recognising and supporting members of the Armed Forces community, including veterans, reservists and their families.

HomeTrust Care is committed to training and development, career progression, leadership development, and equality, diversity and inclusion. Our Employee Ownership Trust is a key element in this.

We strive to monitor energy efficiency, waste reduction and sustainable procurement to the best of our abilities.
